Exhibits:

Gary Mccall – Art Source juried watercolor painting.  Boise Brewing artist show. These both will have First Thursday receptions. Boise Weekly let me know I will also have the cover on first Thursday of February.

Shelly Johnson is pleased to share that her painting, “Girl with Shoes”, has been accepted into Western Colorado Watercolor Society’s 36th Annual Rockies West National Exhibition. The Rockies West National Exhibition will be held from March 6 to April 3, 2026 at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Carol HasBrouck Browning – “Faces” is a show at the Riverside in Garden City. Roy Gover, Joni Fry and Carol HasBrouck Browning are showing their very different styles of portraits at the Riverside during January and February. Artists Reception is Friday night February 6th. 5:30 a7:30.

IWS Show-College of Eastern Idaho IWS show. February 2nd-27th. 1600 S 25th E, Idaho Falls, Christofferson Building B. Linda Aman has a painting in the show with other artists of IWS.

Gloria Miller Allen and Linda Aman will have a two woman show at the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho.  Opening is July 24, and it will run through late September.  They will debut their book. CLEVER ENDEVORS at their exhibit.  The book will sell for 35.00. Sold through Amazon. The book is educational, has full color images of their work; with mini essays, poetry, inspiring words, personal stories,, and bits of humor.

Workshops/ Classes: 

Linda Aman – In Person Watercolor Classes– Star, Idaho. Come join us, learn the creative use of watercolor, and strengthen your paintings. Bring a painting you are working on, or Linda can provide a project. Materials are available for use in class, and you are welcome to bring your own. All levels welcome. Date: Mondays February 2nd, 16th, March 2nd, 16th and 30th 1:00pm-4:00pm. Price $35 per class.  Email for address in Star, Idaho. To sign up  Email linda@amanarts.com 

Master Art Classes Online Live – Linda Aman – Lessons on Zoom Tuesdays (usually every other week) Similar to in person “open paint” sessions, where you can share what you are currently creating. Email a painting in progress to Linda the day before class. You will have instruction and paint time during class. Artists learn from a wide variety of art. All the critiques and suggestions from each artist’s paintings will increase your knowledge. Tuesdays February 3rd, and 17th March 3 rd,10th, and 31st. Price $30 per classTimes 9:00am-12:00pm or 6:00pm-9:00 (MST)   Email to register linda@amanarts.com   These are Master Level Classes on Zoom. Contact me for more information. IWS Watercolor Workshop – Pocatello, Idaho “Rust and Corrosion” -Linda Aman linda@amanarts.com   Saturday,  March 14 | 10:00 AM–4:30 PM | Location TBA  Join Linda for a hands-on workshop exploring the look of rust, corrosion, and texture using unusual color choices and granulating paint techniques. Instruction is step-by-step, with individual guidance throughout the day. Reference materials and select art supplies will be available in class. Exhibits:

Mary Gardiner – January/February 2026 Mary Gardiner is part of a group exhibit in the Catwalk Gallery upstairs from the ballroom at the Riverside Hotel. Thank you.

Loretta Barra will be featured in Eagle Magazine’s Jan/Feb.

Scott Muscolo – Large Men with Small Brushes will showcase their work at The Garden Plaza at Valley View on 1130 North Allumbaugh Street in Boise from January 4th through the month’s end. The Large Men are Hugh Mossman, Dennis Hayzlett, Steve Gruber, Roy Gover, Don Belts, and Scott Muscolo.
They will host an opening on Wednesday, January 14 in this spacious gallery space from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  Come meet the artists, experience their varied approaches to watercolor, and enjoy light appetizers in this popular venue!

Anne Watson Sorensen is honored to be the Featured Artist at the St Luke’s Meridian Art Wall Gallery Jan 6-31st.  Visitors are warmly invited to view her work where art meets healing, reflection, and light.  Anne’s artwork is also currently on view at St Lukes Boise in the main Gallery Hall (by the pharmacy) through Jan 5.  http://www.aesorensen.com

Workshops/ Classes:

Watercolor Society Invite – January 1 at IAG Boise

On January 1 from 5–9 PM, the Idaho Art Gallery will host a reception for nationally recognized artist, Michelle Nixon.

We are promoting this as it includes a free watercolor demonstration with the demo painting being raffled off.  This is an opportunity to observe a professional watercolor artist and maybe walk away with a nice piece of art.

Held at the Boise location:  702 W. Idaho Street, Downtown Boise.

Exhibits:

Gary Mccall – Retrospective at the Riverside. TVAA continues at the Gem Center. Christmas decorations auction at Capitol Contemporary Gallery, to support the Camp Rainbow.

Carrie Cornils – Seven pieces will be displayed upstairs at the Riverside Waters Edge Gallery for November and December. The opening reception is Friday December 5, 2025 at 5:30 – 7:30.

Ongoing class for silk scarves and glass ball ornaments available by request for one person or small groups up to three. Call or text Carrie 208-870-8788.

Mary Gardiner -donation fine art holiday ornament to benefit Camp Rainbow Gold First Thursday December 4 5-9 pm downtown Boise at Capitol Contemporary Gallery. Also, Riverside Hotel retrospective exhibit, TVAA Purple at Initial Point, and the Gem Center for the Arts Viv-ID exhibit continues. So many fun, free activities for everyone.

Connie Pepper currently has work on display at the Meridian and Boise locations of Idaho Art Gallery.  The works include prints on cards and bamboo blocks.   Single greeting cards called  “Dictionary Pages”  have gouache paintings of flowers on dictionary pages naming the artwork.  A second artwork option at the Galleries include unique flower or animal art print on bamboo blocks.  The solid 5” x 5”  blocks can be easily displayed on the wall, or stand on a table or desk.

Susan Kluksdal will be the featured artist at Eagle City Hall for the month of December.  The building is open during business hours, 9:00 to 5:00 weekdays.  Please stop by and see what I have been painting!
