Membership Renewal News for 2026

By Membership

Dear Members,

It is time to renew your membership for the upcoming year. The early renewal period begins Oct 1 and ends Dec 31, 2025, for 2026 membership.

During this renewal period, the fee will remain at the current rate of $45. Please note that beginning January 1, 2026, the Active membership fee will increase to $55 as voted for in our current annual membership meeting ballot. If you opt to wait to renew your membership until Jan 1 or later, your membership will increase by $10.

In addition, PAPI, Plein Air Painters of Idaho, are currently discussing dues increase, but has not yet been finalized. The early renewal period for Dual Membership is also Oct 1 through Dec 31, 2025, at the current rate of $70. If you prefer to join PAPI without an IWS membership (Dual), go directly to the PAPI website.

Please note that after January 1, the Dual Membership rate, at minimum, will increase due to the increase in IWS’s rate, even if PAPI’s rate does not increase.

PayPal processes payments, but you do not need a PayPal account to complete your renewal. You can pay with credit or with debit card. Our decision to process all memberships online is due to all art organizations going completely online for both membership and juried and non-juried competitions. In addition, this makes the processing of renewals and new memberships more efficient and less prone to error. We appreciate your willingness to collaborate with us in this area.

If you prefer to pay for your renewal by check, there is an option to do so, by selecting Pay by Check at the time you complete your membership renewal. Paying by check will delay your renewal by a week or two due to the mail and processing time.

I am looking forward to working with all of you this year as your new Membership Director.
