Lynn McConnell – Her recent painting “Griz, the Great Scot” has been accepted into the 2024 Associate Members Online Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society. This exhibition will be held online, on the AWS YouTube channel from June 6th through August 20, 2024. This is an amazing honor. To see the exhibit, go to YouTube, search for American Watercolor Society, search 2024 Associate Members Online Exhibition. The Exhibit will be available for viewing after June 6, 2024.
Ilse Schreiner – I will be the July featured artist at St Alphonsus with 30 of my mixed water media paintings on exhibition.
Shelly Johnson will be part of Capitol Contemporary Gallery’s inaugural Artist Invitational Show from July 3 to July 27. Capitol Contemporary Gallery is located at 451 S Capitol Boulevard in Boise.
Mary Gardiner is artist of the month for July at the Water’s Edge Gallery, Riverside Hotel, Garden City. Mary’s exhibit is primarily a watercolor exhibit. Please join us for the reception when it is announced by the hotel or visit at your pleasure.
Jean Spinosa – As part of Art Walk in Sandpoint, Jean has five paintings displayed in the Pickled Kitchen in downtown Sandpoint. She also has five paintings from her art class displayed in the Sandpoint library.
Priscilla Patterson – IWS Member Priscilla Patterson’s watercolor painting received the Third Place-General Aviation award from the American Society of Aviation Artists at their annual exhibition held this year at Patuxent River Naval Air Museum in Maryland. She has one painting accepted into the Montana Watercolor Society show and two pieces into Coeur d’Alene Galleries Miniatures by the Lake show and sale, both taking place in September.
Kara Hidalgo – East Idaho watercolor artist, Kara Hidalgo, will be co-leading plein air painting retreats at HARRIMAN STATE PARK from August 4-9 and YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK from August 18-22. www.PleinAirInTheParks.org, Instagram:@PleinAirInTheParks, Facebook:@PleinAirInTheParks.
Linda Aman has two paintings juried into the “Art Idaho” show at The Museum of Eastern Idaho. The opening reception and ceremony are August 3rd at 5:30. The show runs from August 3rd to October 28th. Paintings “Aurora” and “Energy Dynamic” are in the show.
Linda Aman – Gallery 12 has an exhibit in Blackfoot, Idaho, at the “Candy Jar” 105 NW Main St, Blackfoot, ID 83221. Linda Aman has three paintings displayed along with other Gallery 12 members.
Joyce Green has a work accepted into this year’s Rocky Mountain National Watermedia exhibit! “Tres Amigos,” a Bristlecone Pine series watercolor, will go on view September 19th through October at the Evergreen Center for the Arts in Evergreen, Colorado.
Joyce will also be opening her garage studio to the public during this year’s BOSCO (Boise Open Studios) event October 12th and 13th at her home in Meridian. Save the date and look for additional information next month! She’ll be happy to answer questions on her painting goals and process during the event.
Jessica Bryant is teaching a one-day workshop in her Coeur d’Alene Studio on August 10 and a three-day workshop September 19-21. There’s just one spot left in September. Jessica’s work is on display in several exhibits this summer, including: the Transparent Watercolor Society of America Exhibit in Kenosha, WI; the Watercolor USA Honor Society Exhibit in Springfield, MO; and the Richeson75 International Exhibit for Landscape, Seascape, and Architecture.
Sue Johnston’s painting, Shoshone Falls has been selected to show at the Sun Valley Museum of Art in the Idaho Rivers Exhibition from September 13 through September 28.
