SW Members Exhibits and Workshops/Classes for November
Exhibits:
Carrie Cornils – Artist of the month at the Water’s Edge Gallery in the Riverside Hotel for the month of November.2026 Please join us for the Artist’s reception November 8, 2026 5:30 – 7:30 pm. The reception includes the PAPI show on the first floor!
-Two paintings in the IWS Boise Cascade building show Nov. 2 – 16, 2026.
-Hand painted Christmas ornaments will be on display at Create Gallery and Frames and the Riverside Hotel in November and December
-My painting “Forest Harmony” will be on display at the Sun Valley Airport November 2026 May 2027.

Loretta Barra will be selling her Unique Watercolor Paint Strip Kits at The Eagle Holiday Bazaar at Eagle High School on November 7th 9-5 and 8th 10-3pm. Hope to see you there!

Anne Watson Sorensen invites you to the NWWS International Exhibition and Awards Reception online on Friday, Oct 30th from 6-8 pm. Anne was delighted to have her painting, “Threshold of Silence” juried into this prestigious show. http://www.nwws.org.
Anne Watson Sorensen is also pleased to have 2 paintings accepted into the juried Sun Valley Airport show with the opening reception Nov 18 from 5:30-7:00 in Hailey.

Joyce Green, aws, nws will be exhibiting at the Garden Plaza at Valley View Retirement Center during the month of November, with a reception and meet and greet on Wednesday, November 18th from 5 to 7 p.m. “I will be filling the exhibition area with about 40 different framed art works. Half of the venue will show traditional watercolors featuring Basque culture and Idaho life and landscape. The other half will feature abstract and experimental works with an emotive aspect. I am calling the exhibit “Both Sides Now,” as it stresses the two different ways I work: plan and design ahead with the idea in mind, or, alternatively to dive in and plan as you go intuitively.” Valley View is located at 1130 n Allumbaugh, Boise 83704. Off Fairview south on Allumbaugh.
“note: I will be moving out of state in the spring, so this may be the last time to acquire one of my paintings directly from me. I am needing to reduce my inventory prior to moving, so I am offering a 30% discount off any framed work during the opening reception. If you have a specific work you know of and would like to revisit, contact me at 208 409 5469 to be sure I have it available to see on that night.”

Linda Aman – “In Person Watercolor Classes”– Star, ID. Come join us, learn the creative use of watercolor, and strengthen your paintings. Bring a painting you are working on, or Linda can provide a project. Materials are available for use in class, and you are welcome to bring your own. “Master Art Classes Online Live” – Linda Aman – Lessons on Zoom Tuesdays Similar to in person sessions, where you can share what you are currently creating. Email a painting in progress to Linda the day before class. You will have instruction and paint time during class. Artists learn from a wide variety of art. All the critiques and suggestions from each artist’s paintings will increase your knowledge. Tuesdays November 3rd and 10th. Price $30 per class. The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies 52nd Annual Exhibition will be hosted by the Watercolor Society of Oregon. It will be held at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg, Oregon from June 4 to July 30, 2027. Entries open January 1, 2027 and close March 1, so you have plenty of time to create your watercolor masterpiece! Kathleen Giles will be the juror. Click on prospectus for more information.
