Art Gallery/Reception Program at Lake Hazel Library

By Events

The Lake Hazel Branch is having a family program on July 16th from 1 to 2pm. We normally plan programs way in advance, so this is unusual for us to ask for help with such short notice. We were originally going to have an art display, and we are trying to make it more interactive for kids by having local artists at the event that they can talk to. We are hoping to find artists that will display a few art pieces at a table and talk to kids/families that visit the table about their artwork. It’s just an hour-long program so not a huge commitment.  If you could participate, please contact me. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Annual Show is complete and here are the results!

By Annual Juried Exhibition

Greetings IWS Membership!

First, a huge thank you to the members who made this year’s annual show a great success!

I’m happy to inform you that the catalogs are printed and will be ready to mail shortly.

Just yesterday I finished mailing award notifications to those unable to attend Tuesday’s event.

Attached for you are the results of the exhibition: Click here for that information.

I want to thank all of the participants in the annual show for sharing their hard work and taking a chance on rejection!  It’s always a bold move to put your work out there.

For those of you who were not selected for the exhibition, please keep your brushes damp and jump in again next year.  Our juror Kathleen Giles had a tough time and was unsure she’d make all the same choices on the next day, so you never know.

Thank you again and I hope you enjoy the catalog!
