Pre-Annual Workshop Information

By Annual Workshop

Greetings Fellow Painters!

Signup for the annual workshop with JJ Jiang is coming up in about 6 weeks. We’re very excited about our instructor, his painting style, and his work shown on his website! He’s a wonderful painter!  Please access JJ’s workshop plan (PDF here) in the hopes that you will research his topics and style before the sign-ups. This year we are going to charge a $100 non-refundable down payment when you are guaranteed a spot in the workshop.  We are hoping that this will encourage you to research our instructor, look at the theme of the workshop, and check your calendars for conflicts before you sign up. Workshop dates are June 3-5. More details will be forthcoming.  If you have questions, you can contact Susan or Jean — but read the information first.

Cheers!

IWS 50-year Anniversary Celebration + Needed Volunteers

By All IWS Info

IWS is hosting a 50-year Anniversary Celebration honoring IWS, the members, the founders, the history, and the volunteers and donors that made it possible. Sunday, June 7, 2026 we are having a Reception for IWS members, invited guests, and past supporters of IWS at the Riverside Hotel from 4-6pm.  Additionally, we will publish a book celebrating our 50 years.  The book will be available for purchase.

Joyce Green, Pam Grant, and Nancy Inaba have been working hard all year putting together the sources, materials and contacts for the celebration. They need your skills to put the final phase of this milestone celebration together. They need volunteers who can contribute with writing, editing, public relations, those who have experience publishing a book, those who can assist with the logistics for the show, shipping, registration at the reception, design and graphics of printed materials, and other jobs.

Please contact Joyce, Pam, or Nancy to volunteer and help us keep the momentum going.
