The Lake Hazel Branch is having a family program on July 16th from 1 to 2pm. We normally plan programs way in advance, so this is unusual for us to ask for help with such short notice. We were originally going to have an art display, and we are trying to make it more interactive for kids by having local artists at the event that they can talk to. We are hoping to find artists that will display a few art pieces at a table and talk to kids/families that visit the table about their artwork. It’s just an hour-long program so not a huge commitment. If you could participate, please contact me. It would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Subject: Awards Evening Schedule
Greetings all members planning on attending the annual show awards ceremony at the Riverside Hotel on Tuesday, June 3:
- Please note that the awards ceremony runs from 6:30 to 8:15 PM. It may run to 8:30, but this later time for beginning makes getting to the hotel easier.
A version of the prospectus shows it going from 5:30 to 8:30, and it’s possible some of you may have gotten this version. Plus, I see that I never updated the prospectus on the website. So there’s that.
Eventually you will get a competent annual show chair. Maybe. Hang in there.
Once again, the event is 6:30 – 8:15.
Hope to see you there!

ATTENTION: Call to Artists!
We at SHPO are holding an art contest to find a design for our annual Archaeology & Historic Preservation Month poster. This year’s theme is the Rainbow Bridge over the North Fork of the Payette River. The chosen winner will have their design featured on the poster and will receive $1000 in prize money.

May is Idaho Archaeology & Historic Preservation Month. Each year, the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office (IDSHPO) creates a commemorative poster centered around a relevant theme. This year, we are asking for artwork submissions from the public that depict the iconic Rainbow Bridge over the North Fork of the Payette River along State Highway 55.
About The Rainbow Bridge: The bridge is an open spandrel arch bridge designed by Charles Kyle and constructed in 1933. It is the largest bridge of its type in the state and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is currently at risk, as the crossing is to be redesigned, leaving the fate of the bridge in question.
Artwork may be of any two-dimensional medium, including but not limited to drawings, paintings, prints, and photographs. The IDSHPO will choose one design from the submitted artworks to feature on the May Archaeology & Historic Preservation Month poster. The artist of the chosen design will receive a $1000 prize. Artworks must be submitted by February 28th, 2025 to be considered.

Hello again our Artists Friends!
Two weeks ago we sent out the email content below along with the attached application announcing the registration for the 2025 Art by The River Event in Star, ID on September 20th and 21st. The initial response was wonderfully received, with 34 of the 54 available booth spaces now applied for.
So we wanted to send this out again in case you missed the application and would encourage you to get your application in as soon as you can before we run out of spaces.
Late applicants would certainly be welcome to hold a position in the waiting list, but we only had three cancellations last year.
We thank you for your support of Art by The River and hope to see you there!
