Frankie Sims  -I’m honored to have had a painting judged into this year’s TVAA Opus show, alongside the work of many local artists I admire. Bright, colorful tropical fish, as I envision them, play on my canvas,  inquisitively encountering one another in a blue ocean kelp bed. I hope you can stop by the Riverside Hotel in Boise between October 4 and November 3, to take a look at my watercolor painting, and enjoy the 66 other creative, interesting and diverse works of art in Opus 2024.

Joyce Green -A very special THANK YOU to all the wonderful friends and artists who attended the awards presentation at Meridian City Hall on Saturday, September 21st!  I was so honored to receive the Tammy de Weerd award for Excellence in the Arts, and even more honored to be so well represented by my IWS group!  Joyce Green
Tres Amigos”,  a watercolor by Joyce Green,  is currently on view through October 26th at the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibit at Evergreen Center for the Arts in Evergreen, Colorado.  Check it out if you are in that neighborhood!

Joyce Green -You are invited to visit Joyce Green’s garage studio during the 2nd weekend of October, the 12th and 13th, from 10 to 6 for the BOSCO (Boise Open Studios) event.  Come see what I do and how I do it in watercolor, including my “wild hairs”! (My exploratory works)  The address is 1088 West Chateau Avenue in Meridian.  The easiest access is east off Linder on Chateau despite what GPS says.  I am one of the farthest out studios, even though I am in  old Meridian, so I will welcome all the visitors I can and you can ask all the questions you want!

Workshops/ Classes:

Marina Zavalova, I will be teaching watercolor classes at College of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls starting October 16 through November 20, beginning/advanced. I am sure everyone in IWS is very skillful painters, but if people know someone who is afraid to start or want to improve I am here.
