2025 Annual Capitol Rotunda Show, presented by the Idaho Watercolor Society – March 1-14
We are thrilled to announce the winners of this year’s Visitor’s Choice Awards! With over 1,100 votes cast, the highest participation since the award began in 2022, it’s clear that the public was deeply engaged with our exhibition. IWS 2025 Annual Juried Membership Exhibition
The exhibition will be held in June at the Water’s Edge Gallery, located in the Riverside Hotel. More information to come. The exhibition will be juried by acclaimed artist Kathleen Giles.
IWS 2025 Annual Workshop
The 2025 IWS Annual Workshop will be June 4-6 at the Riverside Hotel. Kathleen Giles will be the instructor. The focus of the workshop includes: value and composition; unified color schemes; limit palettes and color triads; importance of grays and neutrals for depth and balance; glazing. Mary Gardiner – In April Mary Gardiner’s watercolors Color and Company are on exhibit at the Trueblood Gallery, 2nd floor hallway, Student Union Building, BSU. Mary also has watercolor paintings at the Riverside hotel, Garden City, and Full Moon Gallery, Twin Falls. Please visit and thank you.
Rachel Linquist – Rachel’s painting “Pears on a Dogwood Blossom Cloth” has been accepted into the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS) 2025 Waterworks Member Exhibition by Juror Michele Usibelli. The exhibit opens April 25 and runs until June 30 and can be viewed during that time at www.nwws.org.
Gary Mccall – Gary has watercolor and acrylic paintings showing at Boise Brewing. Please come over and check out first Thursday.
Carrie Cornils – Carrie has 11 pieces on display in the Watersedge Gallery, Riverside Hotel restaurant area through the end of April.
Anne Watson Sorensen has a painting juried into the Sun Valley Airport Nov 5 – May 2025 called “Whispered Cast #2”. Anne is the solo Featured Artist show upstairs at the Riverside Hotel’s Gallery from April 4 – 30th. “Journey towards Joy: Becoming, Unfolding, Finding” will include Anne’s new emerging artistic direction. You and your friends are warmly invited to join her at the Opening Reception Friday, April 4 from 5:30 – 7:30pm. Joyce Green will be a featured artist at the Riverside hotel’s River’s Edge Gallery for the months of March and April. Her works featuring her Water Music and Persistence of Pine series are up in the main lobby.
Pam Grant – The Seattle Convention Center has invited Northwest Watercolor Society back for a Signature Exhibition beginning January 23, and running through July 15, 2025. Pam Grant’s art ‘Palouse 1″ is among 63 Signature and Gold Medal Fellowship members. 85 pieces to be on display in the Phyllis Lamphere Gallery on level 2 of the Arch Bldg located at 705 Pike Street, Seattle, WA. The show will also be online at www.nwws.org.
