Admin Panel: Honorary Active Member Assignment
This platform is exclusively for administrators to assign Honorary Active Memberships to distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to the watercolor arts within Idaho. This honorary status is a recognition of their talents, dedication, and potential impact on the Idaho Watercolor Society (IWS) community.
Eligibility and Benefits:
- State Residency: While all watercolor painters with a primary residence in Idaho are typically eligible for active membership, the Honorary Active Membership bypasses the need for dues payment as a token of our appreciation for their exceptional contributions.
- Active Status Requirements: Honorary Active Members are exempt from the requirement to enter work in a society-sponsored show every three years but are encouraged to participate actively in our community’s events and exhibitions.
- Voting and Board Eligibility: These members shall not have voting privileges and are not eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.
- Membership Beyond Idaho: Should an Honorary Active Member move out of Idaho, they are entitled to maintain their honorary membership without the annual dues requirement until the end of the honorary term, acknowledging their ongoing commitment to the IWS.
- Dual Membership Option: The option for a Dual IWS and Plein Air Painters of Idaho (PAPI) membership is also extended to Honorary Active Members, further enriching their opportunities for engagement and recognition within both communities.
For Administrators:
When assigning this prestigious membership, please ensure the recipient’s information is accurately entered, reflecting their honorary status. This action celebrates their exceptional contributions to the watercolor arts and supports their continued involvement in our vibrant community.
