This event\, which will take place from September 5 to November 10\, 2024\, will showcase the Eastern Region’s watercolor talents affiliated with the Idaho Watercolor Society (IWS). \n\n\n\nThe exhibition starts with an opening reception on September 5\, from 5 PM to 7 PM\, welcoming art enthusiasts and the community to immerse themselves in the “Wonderful World of Watercolor.” Over these two months\, the Carr Gallery will be adorned with an array of watercolor paintings\, demonstrating the versatility and depth of this medium. \n\n\n\nExhibition Highlights: \n\n\n\n\nTheme: “The Wonderful World of Watercolor\,” focusing on the adaptability and diversity of watercolor techniques.\n\n\n\nParticipation & Eligibility: This non-juried show is open to all IWS East Region members\, with each artist permitted to submit up to two pieces. Participation contributes to maintaining active membership status.\n\n\n\n\nArtwork Specifications: \n\n\n\n\nThe primary mediums should be watercolor\, including gouache and watercolor pencil\, with a limited use of mixed media not exceeding 10% of the artwork.\n\n\n\nThe exhibition seeks to display various styles\, from photorealistic to abstract\, emphasizing watercolor’s unique capacity for layering and intensity.\n\n\n\nAll submissions must be framed and ready for hanging with wire; sawtooth or single D-ring hangers are not accepted.\n\n\n\n\nThis exhibition is an exceptional opportunity for IWS members to engage with the Idaho Falls community\, showcasing and selling their artwork while educating the public about the intricate and dynamic nature of watercolor painting. \n\n\n\nIWS East Region members are encouraged to contact the regional director or refer to the Idaho Falls Arts Council’s provided contract for more details on participation\, eligibility\, and artwork submission. \n\n\n\nMark your calendars for the East Region Fall 2024 Exhibition at the Willard Art Center\, where the enchanting world of watercolor comes alive\, offering a feast for the eyes and spirit of all who visit.
